Ask Tiffany: How do I raise my fees without feeling guilty?!

This week, we have a very special edition of Ask Tiffany: The Money Series.

[Insert 80’s sitcom music for the dramatic two-part series premiere]

Therapist Wesley (not the one from Star Trek) wrote in with this question:

“I loved what you said about therapists not having to give back through their business. However, I really strongly believe in helping therapy be accessible for all and Open Path can only do so much. I have (too many) spots for people who I only charge $50/session. What is a way for me to reduce those spots to 1-2 without feeling horribly guilty and like I am denying sessions to people who really need them?”

I KNOW Wesley is not alone with this question. In some way, it gets to the heart of almost every money question that comes to my inbox. So, today, we tackle it.

If you’re not signed up for the HeyTiffany mailing list, get on it! Get support as you work to level up, while also serving the folks you went into this field to serve.

NOW, we’d love to hear from you. Do you resonate with Therapist Wesley’s struggle? How do you reconcile the need and DESIRE to earn a great income with the guilt you feel knowing that there are so many people who need help, but may not be able to afford your full fee?

So helpful to hear the reminder that we’re making sacrifices today in service of the longterm vision… that includes helping WAY more people who need what we’re offering. You’re the bomb, Tiffany!
